Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival at NJP Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport. Transfer to Gangtok (5500 ft./130 Km /4 hrs.), evening free for leisure. (Overnight at Gangtok hotel).
Day 2
Excursion to Nathula Pass, Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (12400 ft. / 54 km / 04 hrs.). Return to Gangtok, evening free. (Overnight at Gangtok hotel). Nathula Pass is closed on Monday.
Day 3
Gangtok local sightseeing – Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, Plant Conservatory, Jhakri Waterfalls, Enchey Monastery, Chorten Stupa, Tibetology Museum, Ropeway (direct payment), Handicraft & Flower Show. (Overnight at Gangtok hotel). Paragliding available on direct payment basis.
Day 4
Drive to Darjeeling (6500 ft./130 Km /5 hrs.), evening free. (Overnight at Darjeeling hotel). River rafting available on direct payment basis.
Day 5
Early morning visit Tiger Hill for sunrise over Kanchenjunga (weather permitting). On the way back, visit Batasia Loop & Ghoom Monastery. Post-breakfast Darjeeling city tour: Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tea Garden (outer view), Tenzing Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sunday), Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda. (Overnight at Darjeeling hotel). Toy train ride on direct payment basis.
Day 6
Drive to Phuentsholing (India – Bhutan border) (960 ft./185 Km /5 hrs.), Immigration & permit formalities. Evening free. (Overnight at Phuentsholing hotel).
Day 7
Drive to Thimphu (6 hrs. /163 km), en route visit Kharbandi Gumba, Bhutan Gate, and waterfall. Evening free. (Overnight at Thimphu hotel).
Day 8
Thimphu sightseeing – National Memorial Chorten, Tashichho Dzong, Folk Heritage Museum, Buddha Point, National Library, Changangkha Lhakhang, Motithang Takin Preserve, Handicraft Market. (Overnight at Thimphu hotel).
Day 9
Drive to Punakha (3.5 hrs. /115 km), covering Dochula Pass, Druk Wangyal Chorten, Punakha River & Punakha Dzong. (Overnight at Punakha hotel).
Day 10
Drive to Paro (3 hrs. /74 km), covering Ta Dzong Watchtower, National Museum, Rinpung Dzong, and Dumtse Lhakhang. (Overnight at Paro hotel).
Day 11
Early morning hike to Tiger's Nest Monastery (3 hrs. uphill). Carry light backpack with snacks & water. Evening free. (Overnight at Paro hotel).
Day 12
After breakfast, drop to Siliguri hotel / Bagdogra Airport hotel (8 hrs. drive). Note: Siliguri/Hotel on your own.
Day 13
After breakfast, drop to Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station.
